TNI AL Melakukan Repowering KRI Pulau Rangsang 727

Kadismatal Tinjau Hasil Repowering KRI Pulau Rangsang-727

Jakarta, -- Kepala Dinas Material Angkatan Laut (Kadismatal) Laksamana Pertama TNI Sugianto Suwardi melakukan peninjauan ke salah satu unsur Kapal Republik Indonesia (KRI) yang berada di bawah jajaran Komando Armada RI Kawasan Barat (Koarmabar) yakni KRI Pulau Rangsang-727 setelah dilaksnakan repowering di Dermaga Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara, Rabu (18/1).

Peninjauan Kadismatal ke Kapal Perang yang sehari –hari di bawah pembinaan Satuan Kapal Ranjau (Satran) Koarmabar tersebut setelah dilaksanakan Repowering terhadap kapal perang dengan spesifikasi panjang berukuran 56,7 meter dengan lebar 7,8 yang dilengkapi dengan persenjataan Meriam 37 mm .

Kadismatal Laksamana Pertama TNI Sugianto Suwardi dalam kesempatan peninjauan tersebut mengatakan, kemampuan kekuatan TNI AL di tandai dengan kemampuan Sistem Senjata Armada Terpadu (SSAT) dengan KRI sebagai salah satu unsur pembentuknya.

Lebih lanjut dikatakan Saat ini ada beberapa KRI telah berusia tua dengan permesinan yang mengalami penurunan kemampuan. Dan dengan pertimbangan mengingat proses pengadan KRI memerlukan waktu dan biaya yang besar , perlu dilakukan upaya-upaya yang dapat dilaksanakan untuk mempertahankan kesiapan teknis KRI. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilaksanakan adalah melaksanakan Repowering.


Lebih lanjut Kadismatal mengatakan, Dinas Material Angkatan laut telah melaksanakan kegiatan Repowering KRI Pulau Rangsang-727 diantaranya paket kegiatan pengadaan motor pokok gear box dan sistem kontrol, perbaikan DG dan MSB, pengadaan cat bawah garis air dan zink anoda, perawatan bawah garis air, pemadangan MPK dan gear box baru.

Selain itu Kadismatal menambahkan kegiatan yang dilaksnakan di bidang perbaikan diantaranya perbaikan system air laut, perbaikan bangunan atas air, perbaikan system pendingin, perbaikan system akomodasi/ruangan-ruangan, pengadaan alat bahari, perbaikan kompresor berikut system, perbaikan dan pengadaan alat keselamatan, perbaikan dewi-dewi skoci dan memanfaatkan dan memberdayakan Fasilitas Pemeliharaan Perbaikan (Fasharkan) Jakarta dengan beberapa kegiatan sesuai dengan kemapuan dan fasilitas yang dimiliki.

Kadismatal Laksamana Pertama TNI Sugianto Suwardi lebih lanjut mengatakan kegiatan Repowering merupakan kegiatan memerlukan proses perencanaan yang teliti, rinci dan lengkap dan tepat waktu dengan hasil baik. Selain itu dibutuhkan kerjasama yang baik diantara semua pihak yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan Repowering KRI Pulau Rangsang-727.

Kunjungan Kadismatal ke KRI Pulau Rangsang-727 didampingi Asisten Logistik Aslog Pangarmabar Kolonel Laut (T) Dani Achdani, S.Sos., S.E., M.A.P, Kepala Dinas Pemeliharaan Kapal (Kadisharkap) Armabar Kolonel Laut (T) Puguh Santoso, Kasatharmatbar Kolonel Laut (T) I Wayan Wetha, Kafasharkan Lantamal III Jakarta Kolonel Laut (T) Mugiono, Kasubdismatkapur Disimatal Kolonel Laut (T) A. Hari Supriyanto dan Komandan KRI Pulau Rangsang-727 Mayor Laut (P) Agus Darmawan.


9 Ranjau Laut Berhasil Dinetralisasi

Sebanyak 9 ranjau laut yang terdeksi oleh Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Latihan Tindakan Perlawanan Ranjau III/2100 berhasil dinetralisasi (diledakan) di sekitar Pantai Palang Tuban, Kamis (4/8). Peledakan ranjau ini merupakan hasil pendeteksian selama lebih kurang dua bulan dari area latihan seluas 37 juta meter persegi, memanjang dari pantai Palang sampai dengan 11 Nm ke utara.

Kegiatan yang berlangsung mulai tanggal 4 hingga 15 Agustus tersebut bertujuan untuk menghancurkan ranjau atau membuat rangkaian/system pemicu ledakan ranjau tidak dapat berfungsi.

Diperkirakan ranjau-ranjau tersebut merupakan peninggalan Perang Dunia II yang terbenam di bawah lumpur dasar laut sedalam 3 sampai 5 meter pada kedalaman laut 8 hingga 30 meter.

“Setelah proses netralisasi, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan melaksanakan rechecking (chek ulang) untuk memastikan bahwa area tersebut benar-benar telah bersih dari ranjau,”kata Komandan Satuan Ranjau Koarmatim Kolonel Laut (P) Benny Sukandani, SE, MM yang sekaligus bertindak selaku komandan latihan.

Lebih lanjut dikatakan Komandan Satran Koarmatim, pada saat kegiatan dinyatakan selesai atau kontak ranjau yang ditemukan berhasil dinetralisasi, maka Mabes TNI AL dalam hal ini Dinas Hidro-oseanografi TNI AL akan membuat peta laut dengan memberikan tanda area yang telah dibersihkan sebagai daerah bebas ranjau, kemudian diinfokan kepada seluruh pengguna laut melalui Berita Pelaut Indonesia (BPI) bahwa area tersebut dapat digunakan untuk menunjang pembangunan nasional.

Kegiatan latihan itu sendiri dimulai sejak tanggal 23 Mei 2011, yang melibatkan 172 personel yang terdiri dari personel Satran Koarmatim yaitu Kapal Perang Type Buru Ranjau KRI Pulau Rengat-711, Diskesarmatim, Satkopaskaarmatim, Dislambair, Arsenal, Labinsen dan Dishidros TNI AL. Latihan direncanakan berakhir hingga tanggal 27 Agustus mendatang.

NZ Deploys Two Ships on Mine Exercise

The Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) is to deploy its dive tender HMNZS Manawanui and the principal survey vessel HMNZS Resolution on a mine exercise in the New Caledonia Lagoon from 5-20 November 2009.

The two navy ships along with the Navy Operational Diving Team and Navy Mine Countermeasure Team will participate in the exercise to search, locate, identify and dispose of ordnance located within the New Caledonian lagoon.

The 911t, 43.6m-long HMNZS Manawanui has an operational range of over 5,000nm, and can carry a crew of 20 and move at a speed of 11kt.

As the RNZN principal survey ship, Resolution is used to survey and chart the waters in and around New Zealand and the Pacific.

The 2,262t, 68m-long ship can carry a crew of 44 at a cruising seed of 12kt.
Upon completion of the exercise, the ships and their supporting teams are expected to return Devonport Naval Base on 28 November 2009.

Australia to Trial Thales' IAAG

The Infrasonic Advanced Acoustic Generator (IAAG) developed by Thales Australia for the US Navy's (USN's) mine-countermeasures fleet is to be trialled by the Australian Department of Defence as part of its capability and technology demonstrator (CTD) program.

Six IAAG shipsets have now been delivered to the USN and Thales Australia anticipates further contracts to equip the balance of the 14 Avenger-class ocean minesweeper/minehunter vessels.

Thales Scores Singapore Minehunter Deal

PARIS - Singapore has selected Thales as prime contractor to modernize its four Bedok-class minehunter ships, said Marc Darmon, senior vice president and head of the systems company's naval division.

Darmon declined to disclose the value of the deal, but said it is worth "a significant amount for Thales."

Singapore's Defense Science and Technology Agency chose Thales for the vessels' life extension program after an international tender that pitted the French company against German archrival Atlas Elektronik, a joint venture between ThyssenKrupp and EADS.

Thales will provide "an advanced integrated mine countermeasures combat system, including the mine information system, a hull-mounted sonar, a towed synthetic aperture sonar [SAS] and expendable mine disposal systems," the company said in a statement.

The towed synthetic sonar array is the DUBM 44, an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) that uses onboard processing of digital signals to provide high-resolution imagery. The DUBM 44 UUV is not autonomous and is connected by cable to the surface ship.

Thales would also work with local partner ST Electronics on unspecified areas as part of the Singapore deal.

The Singapore deal marks a fourth consecutive win for Thales in mine warfare technology in recent years, Darmon said.

Thales UK last year brokered a deal in which Lithuania bought two former U.K. Royal Navy Hunt-class minehunters from the British government and won a contract to fit them out with advanced anti-mine gear.

India awarded Thales a contract for two complete sonar systems last year for its Karwar-class minehunters, and Norway selected the company's sonar systems for its Oksoy class of mine countermeasure vessels.

Thales also is hoping to win a feasibility study, dubbed Espadon, for future anti-mine warfare technology from the Délégation Générale pour l'Armement (DGA), France's defense procurement agency, which is expected to be awarded this year.

Darmon said he expects a large sonar contract win in a mine countermeasures program from a European navy in the next 12 months, but disclosed no further details.

The mine countermeasures market is a "domain in growth," he said, and Thales expects to bid on one or two such projects a year. Sales of sonar systems in mine countermeasures are worth about 100 million euros ($136 million) a year. That would give Thales a quarter of the world market for anti-mine warfare equipment, estimated to be worth a total of 400 million euros a year.

Thales named Darmon head of the naval division in January, succeeding Jean-George Malcor, who was put in charge of the aerospace division. The naval division has annual sales of some 2 billion euros and an order book representing three years of sales.

Mine Warfare Forces of Vietnam

The Vietnamese Navy (PAVN (People's Army of Vietnam) Navy) operates three classes of MCMVs. There are two steel hulled Yurka (Rubin) (Project 266) class ocean minesweepers: HQ 851 and HQ 885, which were built in the early 1970s and transferred from the USSR in December 1979. Four Sonya (Yakhont) (Project 1265) class coastal minesweepers/hunters are also in the inventory: HQ 861, HQ 862, HQ 863 and HQ 864 transferred from the USSR between February 1987 and March 1990, with two of these based at Da Nang. Two Yevgenya (Korond) (Project 1258) class inshore minehunters are in service. The first was transferred from the USSR in October 1979 and a further two in December 1986 with one of these three vessels deleted in 1990. The PAVN Navy operate five K 8 (Project 361T) class minesweeping boats, transferred from the USSR in October 1980, though these are probably used as river patrol craft.

The three classes of MCMVs have a minelaying capability; the Sonya and Yevgenya classes both having a capacity of eight mines, with the Yurka class able to carry 10 mines. The two Gepard (Project 11661) class frigates due to commission in 2010 and 2011 are likely to have a minelaying capacity of 48 weapons on two racks.

Australia's New Minehunter

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) has taken on-time delivery of the first of six new coastal mine hunting vessels (MHC), HMAS Huon, following months of extensive acceptance trials. The Huon-class design is based on Intermarine's Gaeta-class MHCs currently in service with the Italian Navy. Huon's hull was constructed at Intermarine's Saranza Shipyard in Italy, and arrived at prime contractor ADI Limited's (Australia) Throsby Basin in Newcastle for fitting out in August 1995.

HMAS Huon is equipped with the Thomson Marconi Sonar Ltd. Type 2093 variable depth sonar, designed for simultaneous operation in combinations of search, detection, classification, and route survey modes. The dual-frequency search and classification capability of the Type 2093 enables the sonar to operate under most bottom and sea conditions, at a range claimed to be twice that of a hull mounted sonar and with a threefold increase in detection depth. The RAN's new MHC also has two remotely controlled mine disposal vehicles, equipped with a mine disposal charge, searchlights, closed circuit television, and high-definition sonar.

According to ADI, the Huon-class programme is the first instance in which the majority of the detailed design work for a major Australian high-technology maritime project has been carried out in Australia. The detailed design accounts for 80% of the total ship design and entails specifying and formulating installation requirements of all the ship's systems. ADI reports that the other Huon-class MHCs are also on schedule and within budget. The second-of-class, Hawkesbury, has commenced sea trials, and the keel for the final ship is expected to be laid in June 1999. All six Huon-class ships will be based at HMAS Waterhen in Sydney.
